Now is a good time as any to remind everyone to continue to support PFC Corey Clagett. (Click here for a photo of PFC Clagett).

Imprisoned American soldier PFC Corey Clagett and his mother are both very appreciative for the letters of support he has been receiving from our listeners.

Recently it was communicated to us that PFC Clagett is having a very difficult time hanging on, while serving time in solitary confinement.

It was also communicated to us that receiving your letters is what gives him the strength to get through each day.

Presidential candidate Duncan Hunter ranking Republican on the House Armed Services Committee sent a letter today to Defense Secretary Robert Gates, requesting the immediate mobilization of military resources to assist firefighting efforts in Southern California.

Duncan Hunter will be Rick's guest tonight at 9:00PM on 1170 KCBQ to discuss the raging fires and the governments response.

On Monday, October 15th our guest is comedian Billy Gardell. Gardell who has portrayed "the man on the street" on Dennis Miller's CNBC TV show joins us to give his humorous look at the issues of the day. Billy Gardell currently plays a role on the NBC sitcom "My Name Is Earl."

Wednesday nite our guest is The Food Networks rising star Guy Fieri. Fieri, who previously was the winner of The Food Network's reality show, is the host of the top rated 'Guy's Big Bite'.
